The South Florida community is poised once again to show its support for the Lymphoma Research Foundation<\/a> (LRF) \u2013 the nation\u2019s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding innovative lymphoma research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services \u2013 by hosting its Ninth Annual Fashion Luncheon in Boca Raton on Monday, February 2, 2015. This year, LRF is proud to partner with Neiman Marcus Boca Raton, whose new General Manager has made the relationship a priority for the high-end retailer.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n \u201cWe could not be more thrilled to once again partner with the Lymphoma Research Foundation for its annual Luncheon,\u201d said Leslie Johasky, Vice President\/General Manager of Neiman Marcus Boca Raton. \u201cThis event has developed such a wonderful reputation in the South Florida community, and Neiman Marcus Boca Raton is proud to be involved with such a wonderful day for such a good cause.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n Each year, more than 5,000 Floridians are diagnosed with lymphoma \u2013 the most common form of blood cancer. The Luncheon has raised more than $ 1.1 million to-date in support of the Lymphoma Research Foundation\u2019s mission to eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by the disease. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really incredible to see the social community in South Florida galvanized around the Lymphoma Research Foundation year after year,\u201d said Gladys Cook, founding co-chair of the luncheon. \u201cThis year in particular, however, we are seeing the community, led by the Neiman Marcus management, reaffirm its commitment to LRF in a truly amazing way.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n Under the leadership of co-chairs Judy Bronsteen, Gladys Cook, Toby Cooperman, Elisabeth Dalfen, Joan Hauser, and Mitzi Oreman, the South Florida Fashion Luncheon looks to continue in its tradition of connecting the elites of the South Florida philanthropic community with LRF, raising critical funds for new research programs. The afternoon\u2019s luncheon will be anchored not only by the Neiman Marcus fashion show, but also by a keynote from leading oncologist Stephen D. Nimer, M.D., Director, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Professor of Medicine, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.<\/p>\n
