Dr. James Lesinski and the Complete Health Dentistry Team to Participate in Local 10K Race to Bring Awareness to Hunger

Monday, April 27th, 2015

Amherst, NY (PRWEB) April 06, 2015

Dr. James Lesinski is an experienced dentist in Amherst, NY, who offers cutting-edge dental procedures including dental implants to his patients. He is proud to announce that he and his Complete Health Dentistry team will be participating in a 10K event on Saturday, April 11, 2015. The event is designed to promote awareness for combatting hunger in local communities.

Dr. Lesinski is proud to contribute his time to raising awareness to combatting hunger, during the Run 10 Feed 10 event in April. The 10K event is designed to support the Feed Foundation and minimize hunger in local neighborhoods. Money raised during registration and through fundraising efforts is donated to local communities, in an effort to feed hungry families and individuals.

In addition to combatting local hunger, Dr. Lesinski and his team also serve the community by providing top-quality dental services and procedures. Patients who are missing teeth can receive top-quality titanium dental implants from his practice. Implants are an ideal alternative to dentures because they are anchored directly into the jawbone. This ensures that they will not need to be secured in place with paste, and they will not make embarrassing clicking sounds or fall out during a meal. Patients who receive implants typically report that they feel and look like natural teeth. Additionally, implants are designed with very durable materials that make them a permanent solution for lost teeth, with proper care.

Patients with crooked teeth or other cosmetic issues can also receive cutting-edge, corrective treatment options from Dr. Lesinski’s practice. Many patients like to have the option of receiving traditional, affordable braces. However, patients who are embarrassed about the conspicuousness of traditional braces can opt to receive invisible corrective devices such as Invisalign® from Dr. Lesinski.

Dr. Lesinski encourages patients who are looking for a dentist in Amherst, NY, to visit his practice website at http://www.completehealthdentistryofwny.com to find out more about dental implants and the other services he provides.

Local Dentist Advancing Excellence in Jacksonville, FL

Tuesday, November 18th, 2014

Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) November 10, 2014

When Dr. Donald Alexander founded his Jacksonville dental office, he made a commitment to offer excellence in dental care. Continuing education and advanced dental services are foundations for the local practice.

“Dentistry is constantly evolving. There have been more advances in the field of restorative and cosmetic dentistry in the last 15 years than in the past century,” said Dr. Alexander. “It’s important to me that my team is always striving for excellence and never stops learning.”

There have been two important additions to the Jacksonville family dental practice in 2014.

Dr. Alexander welcomed a new registered dental hygienist, Rim Al Masari. Ms. Masri practiced general dentistry in Damascus, Syria for more than 25 years. She moved to the United States and received her dental hygiene license in the state of Florida in March 2014. In October, she received certification in nitrous oxide psychosedation.

“Our practice will benefit greatly from Ms. Masri’s experience. She has already become a tremendous asset and I look forward to utilizing her talents and expertise,” said Dr. Alexander.

This year, Alexander Dentistry also began offering a new product to patients. The PerioScience Antioxidant Oral Care System has a unique suite of antioxidant-based products. These products are available for sale in Dr. Alexander’s Jacksonville dental office as well as on the practice website, http://www.alexanderdentistry.com.

“I am thrilled to offer this incredible dental health system to our patients,” said Dr. Alexander. “These are world-class products that work in concert with the body’s natural defense system to promote optimal oral health.”

PerioSciences products contain powerful antioxidants that reduce inflammation to prevent gum disease, promote saliva production as a natural antibacterial agent and neutralize bad bacteria for fresher breath. In addition, patients can find products that effectively whiten teeth, minimize tooth sensitivity and hydrate dry mouths.

Dr. Alexander also completed a continuing education course on Lasers in Periodontal Treatment in San Diego, California. Taught by Dr. Samuel B. Low, Professor Emeritus at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, the three-day course focused on the use of lasers in the treatment of gum disease.

“We have a great staff,” said Dr. Alexander. “My dental assistant, April Adams, celebrated 30 years of practice in dentistry this year. Passion and education are what keep us on the leading edge of modern dentistry. I’m looking forward to 2015 and continuing to expand our portfolio of services.”

Dr. Alexander is welcoming new patients. He sees both children and adults, offering a complete range of dental services from preventive dentistry to advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

Alexander Dentistry is located just outside Jacksonville, Florida in San Jose Forest, at the corner of St. Augustine Road and Caballero Drive. To schedule an appointment, new patients can call 904.372.8157 or visit http://www.alexanderdentistry.com.

Local Plastic Surgeon Laura Sudarsky, Partner In EssE Plastic Surgery, Donates Surgical Skills To Needy Guatemalan Children

Friday, November 14th, 2014

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (PRWEB) November 07, 2014

Board-certified plastic surgeon Laura A. Sudarsky will donate her surgical skills in the Medical Missions Program for Healing the Children Florida (HTC), a not-for-profit organization dedicated since 1982 to providing volunteer life altering healthcare to children in need in developing countries.

Dr. Sudarsky, the only female plastic surgeon currently participating in the program, will travel on November 15th from Fort Lauderdale to Guatemala, where much of the population lives in poverty. During a five day stay she is expected to operate on 30 to 40 children at Hospital Nacional De Amatitlan, a government facility founded in 1862. Common procedures include craniofacial conditions, e.g., cleft lip and palate. These birth defects hamper babies during breast feeding and can result in ear infections and speech defects if untreated. Their cause is unknown. Other procedures include reconstructive burn and syndactyly surgeries (where two or more digits are growing together). Many families cook outdoors, and the children suffer burns from the flames. Fabrics are often not flame retardant, and clothes catch on fire.

Dr Sudarsky has been travelling with HTC for 20 years, and has operated on more than 2500 children during her medical missions abroad. She has served as the Director of Plastic Surgery for HTC and as a Team Leader for many years.

“The satisfaction of returning a child back to their parents’ arms after a life altering surgery is indescribable,“ states Sudarsky.

Many children with medical problems in developing nations live out their lives in a severely limited fashion or do not survive. HTC has provided first class medical care to more than 191,572 children in 100 plus countries, including the United States. Donated in-kind services provided by volunteers in 2013 totalled $ 960,375.00.

Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Dr Sudarsky has long been dedicated to “giving back” by working with underserved groups of women and children. She has been recognized by Operation Smile and Healing the Children for her multilingual clinics in impoverished countries, and she is the recipient of multiple humanitarian awards including a Certificate of Special Recognition from the United States Congress. Her travels with HTC have taken her as far as Afghanistan and Bangladesh where she worked with acid burn victims and Colombia during the height of guerilla warfare.

Dr. Sudarsky had been Chief of Plastic Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital, New York. For many years she has been involved in research and innovation in the field in breast surgery. A pioneer in transumbilical breast augmentation (TUBA), she published a series in the Annals of Plastic Surgery. She taught the procedure to colleagues and continues to develop and refine new techniques. She has presented in national conferences and published in surgery journals. Trained in cosmetic/reconstructive breast surgery, she is also one of a small group of physicians to be board certified in wound care.

Dr. Sudarsky and Dr. Tracey H. Stokes recently announced the opening of ESSE, a joint practice focusing on aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body, located at 6333 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308; (954) 533-1671. According to some estimates, only one in nine plastic surgeons in the U.S. are women, suggesting that male surgeons handle the vast majority of cosmetic procedures.
